We, Malayalee Welfare Association (Regd.), Mayur Vihar Phase-III, popularly known as MWA is one of the premier organizations working in Delhi for the last more than 25 years. Its main aim is to promote art, culture and literature etc. besides helping the deprived and downtrodden and also undertaking other social activities. The Association is having its own Office-cum-Cultural Center at 27-C, Pocket B-1, Mayur Vihar Phase – 3, Delhi-110096. We are conducting classes for Drawing & Painting, Classical Dance and Regional Languages etc. for free. The administration of our association is fully under the control of an elected Executive Committee consisting around 40 members including a governing body led by President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Joint Secretaries. We are functioning as per the laws of Societies Act and as per our Bye-laws. We have both internal and external auditing systems to ensure the transparency of our functioning. The Association regularly conducts Blood Donation Camps in association with All India Institute of Medical Sciences and also conducting Hepatitis-B Camps, Health & Educational Camps, Orientation Programmes, Charity etc. Our members are donating blood to the needy people as and when the requests received and the needy can get sufficient blood from AIIMS blood bank against our request letter in our letter head. Apart from the above, the Association has been helping many with financial and medical aid for the treatment of economically poor people to meet their medicine and hospital expenses especially suffering from Kidney, Heart and also Cancer like chronic diseases. Our members (At present we have 724 Life Members on its roll) are ready to donate blood as and when the requirement comes from the needy. We are conducting regularly Cultural Programmes twice in a year to promote the healthy cultural heritage of our country and encourage our younger generation to know about that. We are regularly conducting Sports Competitions to promote sports activities and aware the upcoming generation to maintain their good health. We are conducting counseling programmes for the students to free up their minds to attend the board exams and to mould their career ahead. We are giving Merit-cum-means scholarships to the brighter students for their studies. We have joined our hands with the State & Central Governments time to time in, national calamities like Earthquakes, Flood, and Pandemics/Epidemics etc. We are also involved in the socio-cultural activities in and around our area regularly. We pubish "Malayalee Residents Directory" of the malayalees living in Mayur Vihar, Phase-III; and issue its updated copies every 4 years. We have a library having more than 3000 books in different languages and many people are using this facility right now. |

A PARTIAL LIST OF OUR UPCOMING PROGRAMMES/EVENTS ARE AS UNDER August: Independence Day Celebrations, Quiz Competition, Cultural programmes etc. (Venue: our Cultural Center at 27-C, Pocket B-1) September: Onam Celebration on Thiruvonam day with Mega, Cultural Event/Programmes to be performed by renowned artists from Kerala. Distribution of Educational Excellence Awards & Merit-cum-means Scholarships for students. (Venue at B-6 Park). November: Keralapiravi Celebrations – Sports Day (Sports & Drawing Competitions) – Venue at B-6 Park. January/February: Blood Donation Camp in association with AIIMS, Delhi including Medical Camps. (Venue: Govt. Dispensary, Pocket A-2). April: “KALA SANDHYA” – a Mega Cultural event by the young talented upcoming stars of Mayur Vihar Phase-III.
